NeoBards Entertainment is looking for an experienced Senior animator to oversee the gameplay animations of an ambitious project on console.

Role

  • Responsible for the creation and delivery of high quality gameplay animation on a high end platform game
  • Reflects the guiding principle and art vision of the produce in animation look and feel
  • Maintain visibility on the progress and accurately predicts and deliver to deadlines

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain close collaboration with the design and code team, to ensure performance and playability of the animation
  • Makes sure the look and feel of the animation is in accordance with the product goals, and character guidelines
  • Delivers accurate estimates to project management, and delivers on time, with high quality
  • Maintain unity of game assets
  • Ensure technical and organizational compliance with defined standards

Required Skills

  • At least 2 shipped titles as Animator
  • Written and verbal communication skills (English and Chinese)
  • Good knowledge of motion capture, keyframe animation and related pipelines
  • Experience with modern game engine (Unreal / Unity)
  • Experience with directing and managing mocap a plus

Neobards is looking for an extremely talented and experienced senior VFX artist to oversee the creation of the effects on our next ambitious project.

Role

  • Responsible for the creation and delivery of high quality VFX
  • Translates the product art direction into creation guidelines to produce in-game VFX
  • Maintains visibility on the progress and accurately predicts and delivers to deadlines for the team
  •  Can work independently and potentially provide guidance for other team members
  • Maintains coordination with the other leads of the team

Key Responsibility:

  • Maintains close collaboration with the design and code team to ensure compliance with design choices and technical performance
  • Delivers to the highest standards of VFX quality on mobile
  • Provides accurate estimates to project management and owns the delivery on time and quality
  • Good self-management
  • Maintains homogeneity of the VFX with other art resources
  • Ensures technical and organizational compliance with defined standards
  • Owns the art bible and technical documentation related to VFX creation

Required Skills:

  • At least 2 shipped titles as VFX artist on mobile or console and 1 as a senior VFX artist
  • Very experienced in hand-held and mobile platform requirements
  • Very experienced with Unreal Engine
  • Written and verbal communication skills (English and Chinese)
  • Expert knowledge in Max/Maya/Houdini and Photoshop
  • Experienced in engine optimization
  • Experienced with Offline VFX platform and simulation engines
  • Experienced with programming languages a plus
  • Those without the required credentials but with great potential will be considered as a VFX Artist.

As a backend programmer, you’ll be responsible for building our meta (gaming) services of a free-to-play mobile title which will be globally operated by our publisher. Hundreds of thousands concurrent users is a minimum requirement.

You are:

  • Mastering multiple programming languages. Javascript/typescript (Nest.js) is our major language but there is no limit. We use other languages as well: Python, Java, Golang, Rust, C/C++, etc. Language diversity is the nature of open sources and the microservice ecosystem.
  • Familiar with microservices architecture. We are using Kubernetes although microservices is more than that.
  • Familiar with one of the three major public clouds. We are using AWS and many cloud native features.
  • Database practices, Postgresql is our primary database and other databases like Redis, Dynamodb, etc. Familiar with cross services transactions (database per service pattern, saga patterns).
  • Mastering Linux.
  • Mastering Internet technologies.
  • A good team player. Not just need to communicate with other programmers (client/server), there are also game designers, system engineers, database administrators, etc. And in multiple languages, Chinese, English at least.

You must demonstrate your:

  • Programming skills.
  • System engineering knowledge like performance tuning, services scaling.
  • Database knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in game development project, write game programs
  • Master of C/C++, can develop games using C/C++
  • Familiar with at least one of the following game development related diciplenes: computer graphics, network backend, AI
  • Passionate and confident about developing high quality games

Required Skills

  • Education: University and above, major in information related subjects
  • English or Japanese: moderate listening, speaking, reading, writing
  • Familiar with C/C++,Java Script,Visual C++
  • Participated in the development process of a game project from start to finish
  • Experince in console game development a plus
  • Familarity with Unreal Engine 4 a plus
